The Premier Fort Lauderdale Chapter celebrates AARLCC's 20th Anniversary

The Fort Lauderdale Zetas celebrate the installation of their plaque on the Heritage Wall at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC) in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Delta Eta Zeta Chapter has always been active since the beginning of AARLCC. The chapter was the first Greek-lettered organization to give a donation to the library. Charter member, Triumphant Soror Ellyn Walters led the campaign to build the facility. She also served as the 1st president of the Friends. Chapter members Evelyn Grooms and Janice Henry have also served as president of the Friends of AARLCC. Currently, Sorors continue to serve on the Friends' executive board.

Delta Eta Zeta's overwhelming support of AARLCC positioned the Finer sorority to provide greater support for the literacy, cultural, art and technology programs and exhibits at this unique, culturally rich institution.
